Michaela joined the BillyLids team in April 2026 after graduating from The University of Queensland in 2023 with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology. Michaela chose speech pathology practice as she wanted to work in an area where she could support people to feel confident to participate and grow across the different environments of their life.
Michaela has experience supporting children in the areas of speech, language, literacy, fluency, and AAC. She enjoys working with children and their families to incorporate their individual interests and needs to support them to reach their communication goals. She has completed additional training in literacy and orofacial myofunction.
Michaela values the importance of providing understanding and warmth to children and their families to allow them to feel comfortable and motivated to engage in therapy, and of course have lots of fun along the way!
Outside of work, she spends her time practising yoga, hiking, and swimming, as well as listening to music and catching up with friends.
